Claudia’s love for humanity and nature is evident in her dedicated contributions to various social initiatives and NGOs over the past 17 years.
Her focus on children, sustainable development, climate crisis and the preservation of indigenous cultures highlights her commitment to making a positive impact. Her volunteering and pro-bono work have exposed her to diverse environments, enriching her understanding of different realities.
These experiences have allowed her to gain insight into the broader picture of the state of the world, additionally fostering her personal and professional growth, and shaping her worldview.
Highlights of Claudia's Engagement

Empowering Youth
Successfully mobilized corporate donations to fund various sustainability initiatives for Plant-for-the-Planet Academies, including for her son’s school, enabling students to become Climate Justice Ambassadors. Co-organization of the Academies and tree planning initiatives.

Sustainability Leadership
Early pioneering event sustainability work, designed and led the implementation of an award-winning corporate event sustainability strategy for Sustainability Innovation.

Global Volunteer Recognition
Named ‘Volunteer of The Quarter’ during her corporate tenure at Symantec for her volunteer work.

Adoption Community Engagement
Assisted adoption families and refugee networks with marketing communications, and supports annual clothes collections for a water project in Peru.

Climate Advocacy
Volunteering as a Climate Reality Leader to educate and advocate for climate action and mentored new leaders during global Climate Reality Leadership Corps trainings. Provided strategic sustainability support for Plant-for-the-Planet’s Trillion Tree Campaign Launch event.

Pro-Bono Support for Indigenous Wisdom Preservation
Collaborated with the Wiraqocha Foundation and Centro Cultural Hatun Q’eros, offering general strategic guidance and marketing, and advisory for a regenerative tourism approach.

Advocacy for SDGs
Facilitated awareness workshops on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the school board and parents at her son’s school, and for general public.

Hogar San Pedro in Peru
Supported the medical and convalescence center with clothing donations and personal visits to appreciate their impactful work.

Visit of Government Orphanages in Peru
With a real love for children, Claudia and her son visited government orphanages in Lima several times over the years. They were opportunities to show interest in this important work, cultivate empathy and understanding from a young age. Engaging with children in custody or facing vulnerabilities, including orphans and those with special needs, and sharing warmth, joy, human connection, moments of play, laughter, and presence deepened Claudia’s vision of advocacy and compassion, inspiring her son to a vision of care and kindness as a way of life.

Child Sponsor
Long-term Sponsorship with the German organization of Plan International, who works to advance children’s rights, achieving gender equality and ending child poverty. Sponsor of a child for over 16 years; Documented her visits to her sponsored children in Peru.

Q’ero Indigenous Community
Recognized as the last remaining direct descendants of the Incas, the Q’ero people endure harsh living conditions at altitudes of 4,200-4,600 meters above sea level. Claudia was deeply moved by their unique cultural and natural heritage, as well as the challenges they face. This experience ignited a strong desire in her to explore ways to preserve their invaluable wisdom and rich legacy, and to support their community.
